Portland, Conn (WTNH) - Emergency crews are on the scene of a 2-Alarm fire in Portland that started with reports of a gas leak, and led to an explosion.

On Saturday afternoon around around 2:45pm, Portland fire, police, and Hazmat teams were dispatched to a home on Summer Road after receiving reports of a gas leak.

As firefighters were on the scene, an explosion occurred. Firefighters were reported down, and Life Star helicopters were dispatched.

By 3:15pm, the tanker task force was requested, and all off-duty firefighters were summoned to the scene.

This story is still developing. More information will posted as soon as it becomes available.

Injury report one being transported with 2 and 3 degree burns to the face airway is patent and clear

All the firefighters are doing okay now. I believe one is still in the Bridgeport Hospital Burn unit though, but will be okay.
