Alot of Bronx Companies for Manhattan. Where was Engine 93 and Ladder 45 at that time of night? Didnt see them on the run down.

I think TL-45 was at Box 1684
Yes, I heard TL14 was relocating to TL45 when a request for an additional tower ladder was transmitted so they were then sent in to the job.

Also just reading ExChiefs rundown noticed no Rescue or Squad dispatched until they transmitted the 2nd due to the A/H's

Why would they not have started out another Rescue and Squad??

We are not required to special call a Rescue or Squad until the all hands is transmitted. When a 10-75 is transmitted, and the normally assigned Rescue and/or Squad are not available(3 and 41 in this case), we advise the IC, that one or both are not available, and if they want one, we'll special call them. R-1 AND Sq-61 were assigned on the 2nd, then R-1 was turned around after 3 went 10-8 from Fort Wash and 161. The only time we tell an IC No Rescue/Squad is available, is if none of them are available Citywide. We also have an order of response for each Rescue/Squad in a particular Battalion.

How's DAT for an answer??

That whole area is primarily Bronx companies on the assignment. It is closer to a lot of companies in the Bronx. The same thing happened with the Brick Fire a few years back. The Box then was 1810, a few blocks away.

DAT was good! ;)

That area of Manhattan has Bronx units that are 2nd and 3rd due to most boxes in Inwood, they are closer than the Manhattan companies. 95/36 are the last units in northern Manhattan and they also respond 2nd and 3rd due into Bronx boxes.

.........................................Any Chief who does not ask for the nearest available RES & SQ is gambling w/his FFs lives as well as the civilians he has sworn to protect......the same goes for any Chief  who responds w/o a second Truck regardless of what the ticket says......any situation can go from bad to worse w/lightning speed.

That was bloody excellent 150 lol. So R1 were sent but turned back after 3 became available. didnt see that on ExChiefs rundown and he'd usually have something like that which is why i asked.

Thanks again 150

Dang Chief! You and I see eye to eye on getting the proper resources enroute or on scene! and we are 1000 miles apart! It has already turned sour or we wouldn't be called, we can't afford to not properly prepare for the incident on all levels!
