Cincinnati Fire Department crews battled a house fire in the Avondale today. Crews were dispatched around 5:00PM for a report of a house on fire. Shortly after leaving quarters Ladder 32 reported seeing smoke in the area. Upon arrival Engine 32 found fire on the second floor of the home. All occupants were able to safely evacuate the home. Crews began being released from the scene after one hour. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries. Red Cross was requested to help the family affected.

Working Fire Response: Engine 34, Engine 23 (Safety), Engine 9 (Self-assigned), Medic 46, ALS 32, District 2, Car 1, Car 201, Car 541
(St. Bernard Medic 91 was initially assigned on the working fire because no Cincinnati Medics were available, M46 became available and replaced M91)

Move-Ups (30 minutes into incident): Engine 17 to Station 32; Ladder 29 to Station19; Engine 18 to Station 23; Engine 20 to Station 34
