Male down an elevator shaft.

1248 - Bn. 45 - We have a male who fell from a ladder into an elevator shaft. The victim is 6-7 feet down the shaft and has a leg injury.  The victim is conscious. 10-20 all special units.

1301 - Bn. 45 - We are in the process of packaging and extricating the victim.

1309 - Bn. 45 - Patient is being removed and will be handed off to EMS.

1317 - Bn. 45 - Patient is removed and being transported by EMS.

Maybe because of concern Hazardous Materials may be encountered in shaft such as asbestos that could become friable or petroleum products that could be flowing etc.  that could create dangers for members or the victim during rescue activities. Perhaps 68jko9 may have a more definitive answer
