Location: IND-E Subway line under the East River

Disabled train in the tube between Manhattan and Queens.

1021 - MD - Box 7275 - Disabled train; IND-E line at Lexington and East 53 Street.

1025 - Bn. 8 - We have a disabled train, Manhattan Bound, in the tube between Manhattan and Queens.  MTA is sending a rescue train, if that does not work, we will be walking them on the road bed. All units standing by awaiting further instructions from MTA and TLO.

1044 - Bn. 8 - The rescue train has made contact with the stalled train.  We are standing by in Manhattan, the Rescue Battalion is standing by at Court Square in Queens.

1052 - Queens assigns Box 0442 - IND-E Court Square.

1059 - Div. 3 - We have reports of 2,000 people on the train.  Make sure there are adequate EMS resources on the Queens side.  We are in communications with Battalion 45 on the 800 MHz. radio.

1103 - Bn. 45 - Have EMS stage units at 44 Drive and 23 Street.

1106 - Div. 3 - We are in the process of transferring people from the stuck train to the rescue train.  There are no reported injuries at this time.

1135 - Div. 3 - All FD personnel are off the train. The rescue train is en route to Queens. All Hands

Not really new, possibly created after September 11th but I'm not sure. It's a chief that responds to the New York City Transit Rail Control Center (usually referred to as the RCC). They are between the Incident Commander and RCC and assist with communications. More information in the attachment:

It used to be a designated BN that responded to the Transit HQ  but i believe now it is a BC stationed there around the clock.
