Hey guys, I have a quick question… Is there a specific reason why the dispatcher calls sometimes the units about 20 minutes ahead of time?
Calls ahead of time? Not sure what that means.

Are you talking about when the dispatcher advises Chief at scene of working fire how long they’ve been operating? That is done for safety reasons. With everything going on at a job the dispatcher giving a Time Benchmark is a reminder for command to realize how long fire has actually been going. If fire is still actively attacking structural members for that long have an increased risk of collapse, etc…
