Fire on the top floor and in the cockloft of a 6 story brick 150x100 MD.

1158 - Bn. 13 - "Urgent, Urgent, Urgent" - Transmit the 10-75. We have fire in the cockloft.  Give me an extra Engine and Truck.

1207 - Bn. 13 - Transmit a 2nd Alarm.

1218 - Div. 7 - Transmit a 3rd Alarm. We have fire extended to 2 more apartments. (Staging at Montgomery and West 176 Street - Field Comm Battalion - Staging Manager)

1220 - Fallback Step 2 implemented in the Bronx.

1224 - Div. 7 - We have 4 L/S, 3 L/O. DWH

1232 - Div. 7 - Primaries are negative in Apt. 6A & 6E.

1240 - Div. 7 - Transmit a 4th Alarm.

1244 - Div. 7 - We have a trench cut between the A and B Wing.  Fire is isolated to the B Wing.

1304 - FC - Per Car 10, Transmit a 5th Alarm.

1310 - FC - 7 L/S/O, we have lines on the top floor and cockloft. Trench cut between the A & B wing has not yet been pulled.  DWH - Duration 1 hour 20 minutes.

1331 - FC - Per Car 4 - 7 L/S/O, working on pockets of fire on the top floor, trucks continuing to open up the cockloft.  Make this a 10-41 code 1.

1337 - FC - Special call 4 additional Ladder companies to stage (L-37, TL-58, L-55, L-52).

1349 - FC - Per Car 3 - PWH - Duration 2 hours 1 minute.

1356 - FC - At this time, L-55 is replacing TL-45 as the FAST Truck.

I count 11 "Cars" on the rundown.  Considering the number there, maybe they should have set up a special staging area just for them . . . maybe at the southern end of Staten Island??    ::) ::)

Job is very top heavy....way too top heavy can't get a word in edgewise on the radio anymore they are too busy talking to each other

Since large dept's have 'top brass' isn't it better for such to respond rather than always remain  in an administrative 'desk job' situation?
