Yeah, that is a jumbled up assignment card, G-man.

1974 was a year of big changes in the Bronx work patterns as the wave of fire moved north and west thru the borough. E88 jumped over 82 as #1 in runs, and the house on Belmont Avenue was the busiest  in the Department. L's 33, 56 (then with E42) and 38 were the top three ladders in the Bronx. L33 had not even been in the top twenty-five in the City the year before, but exploded to #1 in 1974.

1974 was a year or two after Co-op City opened which had created a housing vacuum in the Concourse, Highbridge, University Hts., Fordham, & Bedford Pk. neighborhoods. Landlords filled those units with refugees from Mott Haven, Melrose, Morrisania, Hunts Pt. & E. Tremont. I know this because we were flooded in the Bronx Post Office with "Change of Address" requests. ;)
