Car fire and explosion damages 6 homes in South Ozone Park
The vehicle exploded in flames on 133rd Street just before 7 a.m. Friday. The car is owned by a plumber who keeps natural gas and acetylene tanks in the vehicle.

I saw the video of the car exploding. It makes you stop and think, how many vehicles are driving around with potential explosives in them. How many people throw a BBQ tank in the trunk for an exchange or or oxygen cylinders for a family member, amd no one would ever know until it's too late. In this case, the owner got lucky that the car went boom after he hit the alarm button, and not when he sat in the seat to start it. And the remaining cylinders didn't fail.
