In the old days there was a set pattern especially in Manhattan and the Bronx where certain companies were always covered and others were always covering. The one I posted here was from the early "War Years" so there was no L55 or L17-2 in service yet. The only change made on the card was changing E53-60 to E312-60. Some of the relocations especially in Harlem were short distances (sort of like move-ups) by companies familiar with the areas they were moving into. In fact, when they moved up, they would still respond into their original home boxes as 2nd or 3rd due, eg: E47-58, E94-73, E88-46, L19-17, L40-14, L48-42, L28-30.
