Not really... 262 in LIC is a longer ride than 259 in Greenpoint to 286 in Glendale.
Now L123 Brd Sty is a longer ride to 173 in Howard Beach. Also speaking of 259 there's a hydrant accross the street from 293. There's no way any engine is relocating into there quarters

Always glad to see a few war years respond on the 2nd Alarm. 319 interchanged with 332 back in the 70s. Those were great days

1940’s nyc has nice pic of front of 293.

Back of Rig (snow chains on rear tire) and front of chiefs car(?) in front. Couple of Brothers in their wool coats and caps in front of quarters facing photographer for the pic
