i didnt know fdny ran ambulances prior to 1996. any info on these?

I believe they were "Department only" ambulances, one of the other fellas would know for sure.

Up until the merger of EMS , the FDNY had a few Ambulaces to transport non ambulatory injured Members to the Medical Office for examinations or to other treatments..........years ago there also were units that responded to multiples for the Dept Doctor to examine Members.
