Battalion 48: 1223, we're going to be using All-Hands, we have a fire in a kitchen on the 1st floor, your address 207 8th ave, we have 2 handlines stretched, in operation, trucks are opening up, primary searches are in progress on the fire floor and  floor above.  Building is a 6 story 25x60 occupied multiple dwelling.  Status of the fire is Probably Will Hold.  Exposures are: 1 is a street, 2 is a similar attached,  3 is unknown, 4 is similar attached.

Less then a block away from my house! Walked out as Squad 1 and 220 was pulling in. Great work by them and 220 getting the first line in place. Took less then a minute! Maybe something like the fact that Squad 1 has a 5th man helped play an important role at this fire....
