"I don't know why people are getting upset. Those cops signed up for the job and should have expected it."
Can you believe a young woman - white, and apparently affluent and educated - said that in front of her two young children, her husband and family members - and no one said anything to her? Except me.
I blame more than the thug who killed these two innocent police officers. I blame more that the weak politicians who have been playing on the unfortunate incidents of the past few weeks to promote their political agendas. I blame more than the race-dividing civil-rights leaders and civil-rights organizations who have been responsible for promoting hatred and civil-disobedience. I blame more than our liberal-minded professors and teachers who lead protests and deliberately promote a biased ecucation to influence their students with a one-sided, non-factual approach to social problems. I also blame more than our self-serving media which continually spews misinformation, promotes its own form of racism and encouragement of violence and hatred.
I blame the apathy and complacency of Americans who: elect weak, self-serving politicians; accept prejudiced educators and poor education systems; tolerate racist civil-rights leaders who continually fail to promote civil-rights; and tolerate a media that is un-American and unethical.
God-bless these police officers and all others who competently serve to protect us and our way of life.
I really can't believe that either. That's the first I heard of that one. Where did we go WRONG ? Somewhere, somehow, "we dropped the ball and have allowed society to think and act like this". We have crumbled to the lowest level that even just 10 years ago was never thought of.
We need to take back our country. This is a slap in the face to our military members and police officers who have given so much. In those few sentences above, it tells the story of a once Great America that today compares to "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire".
From a video of the 1990s called "America - You're too Young to Die", what we thought were bad times then, has only gotten much worse.
I have the highest respect for Police Officers. What would we all do without them ? Give us one minute without them in this country and God help us all.
Our society is on a road to self destruction. It just can't continue to function like this. Like a cancer eating us from the inside out. We have worried more about "criminal rights" then "good peoples rights".
This self destructive attitude must end. We can't survive if it doesn't. Two Police Officers shot and killed just for wearing the uniform. Another police officer killed in Florida the same day as well. The guy that shot the officer in Florida had 30 (That's THIRTY) prior Felony and 15 misdemeanors' convections.
Two NYPD Officers shot and killed. One just celebrated his 40th birthday. The other had been married for just two months. The same day a third officer shot and killed in Florida. We've allowed this to happen by protecting the wrong people.
My condolences to the families and friends of these dedicated police officers. And to the members of the police departments they serve. I respect you for what you do. As a civilian who depends on you every day and hour of my life, I ask if there is anything that we can do to help, please let us know. Although many of our politicians have failed us, as police officers, "You have NOT failed us".
Thank you and I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
