Good stuff. Thanks brother

Brothers and sisters, the Bronx is still burning, as is part of Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and S.I. No matter where you work, "This Could be the night or day your tested. How well do you know your job?" Happy New Year-- Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired

Yes proportionally, the Bronx Engine companies have the highest workload. But proportionally, the Brooklyn Truck companies have the highest workload workload. By workload I mean non EMS runs. It will be interesting to see the 2025 runs and workers

Some day, the Bronx will get its recognition from the FDNY Staff - I'll be long dead and gone...........but, I think some day, it might actually happen...........

Read the book - The Fires: How a Computer Formula, Big Ideas, and the Best of Intentions Burned Down New York City--and Determined the Future of Cities

This was 1968, during the O'Hagan years (well before my time) - and even then, "The War Years" - the Bronx got zero respect from "the Staff". Amongst the brothers, they understood.....

Yes the book the Fires provided great insight into the burnout of entire sections of the Bronx. And I agree with your first sentence. Stay well brother. Happy new year
