It could mean everything. It could mean nothing. It's still good to know history.
The United Center, in the 1800 block of West Madison Street, is the home of the Chicago Blackhawks and Bulls. It was built in the early 1990's on a large swath of land that had been deserted for a quarter of a century.
The reason that this vacant land was available in a crowded city was because this neighborhood was ground zero for the MLK Riots of early April, 1968 after the killing of Martin Luther King.
The "new" home of the Main and Englewood Fire Alarm Offices are in the Chicago 911 Center, just four blocks east also on West Madison and for the same reason.

What Happened During the West Side Riots of April 1968
Nine people were killed and 1,200 injured as the city smoldered for days following the death of Martin Luther King, Jr.
