Just noticed today that 242 is in a cage alongside 241/109... don't know how long this has been in effect

That leaves a huge hole in Bay Ridge.  For an alarm on 97th Street, the closest is company is 30 blocks away.  Quite a response time deep into Bay Ridge not to mention responses on the Verrazano Bridge.

They've been out for over a month.  It was never in the Dept Orders.

Not to mention the mess there can be with an incident on the bridge gridlocking the neighborhood.... one of the cons of trying to close 284 year after year. I have only lived down here 2 years but you can see what a mess it would be and can be with closing a company(nevermind a temp relocation) - like when they have the marathon or that 5 boro bike tour as they had about a month ago.. I was at a standstill on the fort hamilton overpass at 278 for 10 minutes as some guys in green jackets tried to direct traffic.

Also- [Old News] E.309 in w/ E.321 & TL 159 in w/E.323, Main Drawback being Runs down to the Belt Pkwy', F.Bennett Field & da' Rockaways, [L. 159 2nd Truck in Many Places, Freq. First-In to Ft. Tilden & beyond...Breezy Pt. etc...], also makes things interesting for Kings Plaza & Flatlands areas with
309 coming from Gerritsen Ave & da' Truck having to come outta' Bergen Beach
