Thank you 314. Never mind the fact that 37 has to go past 32 and 41 before it gets to City Island. I would be led to believe there were boxes out that 61,32  and 41 were out at prior to this one going out.

Funny, this is classified as a 2nd Alarm but there were 4 tower ladders in operation meaning that with normal responses (assuming at 40% of Ladder co's. are TL's) this would have been at least about a 4th Alarm job.  ???

i was listening up when this job started ands ladder 50 was assigned as the original FAST truck for this box...not sire who eventually became the FAST truck...god only knows why i was up for this

Looking at the rundown report I see that relocating units were staged at City Island Ave & Hawkins St. I suppose that is because City Island Ave. was shutdown below Carroll St. so they could not even get to the firehouse on Schofield St. and if they did get to the firhouse they would not be able to respond back towards the north (bridgebound) end of the island. To respond to anything south of the Hawkins St. staging area they would have to turn left on Hawkins then right onto Minneford Ave. and right onto Carroll St., drive across City Island Ave. and turn left onto William St. for one block, and finally turn right onto City Island Ave.

This is not that difficult to figure out.

70 66 97 89          53 61 50FAST on 10-75
38                       51                extra E&T

TL50 and TL51 were probably put to work and a new FAST requested. Next due in is L47, probably the new FAST, not L37. Probably just a typo error. (Notice L37 subsequently relocates to L61.)

Yes, there was also that All-Hands at Boston Rd. & 169th going on atthe same time. :)

Thanks for the corrections, I was under the impression that either 50 or 51 was the original FAST truck but the announcement of 4 TLs in operation was a little confusing.

Impossible.

Hawkins St. and Minnieford Ave. do not intersect. Hawkins St. is a dead end on that side of City Island Ave.

Thanks, I haven't worked on the island since the 1980's so wasn't sure if they intersected. Anyway, how would the relocating units get to the south end of the island?

Unfortunately none of the back streets that run parallel to City Island Ave. go beyond Carroll St.

A fire on Scholfield St like this morning;  The only route to the end of the island is down City Island Ave. through the rigs operating at the job.

Would love to know the full relocation pattern as just about every engine and most truck companies north and/or east of E50 were at either the 2-2 or 7-5 by 4:15 AM. Did see on rundown of 7-5 that Engine 84 and 76 came over from Manhattan. Anybody know any other details?
