This rundown makes more sense than what I had.  Therefore, I updated my post.

Thank You!

Right you are Scooby.

But then, STATEN ISLAND always makes a great try at our borough. Doubtful that I (we?) Could distinguish Tottenville from where G-man lives in his. So we have to give him a pass on this one.

Haha so I just did some research and I have just one question. If this neighborhood is on the Bronx mainland, why is it considered Manhattan? It's across the river and not apart of the island.

SI,

The original Harlem River ran through that neighborhood,  much of it swampland. It marked the boundary between the Bronx and Manhattan. In order to make the river navigable by big ships and barges,  the Harlem River Ship Canal was dug in the 1890s in its present location south of the rivers original course and the swamp filled in. The political boundary, however, remained the same as part of Manhattan's 22d ward, not the Bronx 24th. So it is still part of Manhattan but now has a Bronx zip code.

If you plot the address of this incident on Map quest you will see the boundary as a dotted line north of the river.

Thank you, 3511!!  I wonder how many people know about this "unknown" history of NYC.  It's amazing how many stories like that there are that are out there.  Awesome!

I thought "G-Man's quarters" were up near 160 in the Concord section of the Island?

Yes, you're right, I'm right around the corner from E160/R5 but I'll always be a 14th Batt. Bronx boy. ;)
