what exactly are you asking why all 3 are in the same house

they are probably to reduce run times and increase coverage in the peninsula. for example a box out in far rockaway getting 3&2 for a report of a fire with the 2 engines takes 4-5 minutes till there on scene and get a line in operation relatively quickly . where as without 328 the 3rd due engine 266 is coming from about 4 miles and a good 10-15 minute ride and the 4th due 314 is coming from 5 miles 12-20 minutes in addition till 266 is 10-84 and gets a line takes time and now there is a larger coverage gap as the 5 fire houses on the peninsula e264l134 e265l121bc47 e266 e268l137, e329 3 are empty 268,137just has a engine 329 is full and 314 the current 5th engine is empty causing for longer trips times and on a s/c without 328 the 5th engine would be 268 causing only 1 engine and more units needed to be relocated
