Address: 939 3 Ave. at E 56 St.

Fire in the basement of a mixed occupancy high rise.

1418 - E-39 - Transmit the box.  We have smoke in the basement.

1428 - Bn. 9 - Using 2x2 for a fire in the basement duct-work.  We have welders who dropped embers down the shaft.  1 L/S/O, searches in progress. 

1452 - Bn. 9 - We used All Hands - Under Control.  We flooded the shaft, fire is extinguished, no extension, searches are negative.

Where were Engine 8 and Truck 2 for this one? I thought they are first due to this box.

I am pretty sure E-8/L-2 were operating at a vehicle fire on the FDR.
