Fire on the 2nd floor of a 6 story 50x100 MD.

1449 - Bn. 8 - Transmit the 10-75, we have smoke from a few blocks out.

TL-21 FAST  -  L-2 in the area and added as an additional Truck.

1456 - Bn. 8 - All Hands - Extra Engine and Truck (E-40, L-16).

1502 - Bn. 8 - Fire in Apt. 2B.  1 L/S/O, primaries are negative in the fire apartment. 

1508 - Bn. 8 - Primaries throughout are negative.  DWH

1510 - Bn. 8 - MBFKD, trucks opening up and checking for extension.  PWH - Duration 23 minutes.

1527 - Div. 3 - Secondaries are complete and negative.  Under Control - Duration 40 minutes.

16 Truck normally first due along with 39, might of still been at the other AH box that came in under an hour before this one and went 10-8 after 39 did. The UES and these companies busy past few days.

Too long of a haul for the first due ladder if 7 indeed was coming from 29. No way they beat 13 truck who is about 15 blocks closer in if in quarters.

13: From 85th straight shot down Lexington, cut across at 64th to 2nd ave.
7: Up 3rd from 29th and then cut across 64th to second ave.

For 7 Truck it isn't only the distance.  Third Avenue from about 55th to 59th is almost constant gridlock because of traffic to the 59th Street Bridge; not as bad as it used to be, but still a real problem.
