On scene of this deadly 2 alarm fire big flames from the attic the home is badly brunt first and second floor like a big inferno fdny reports 11 patients total 3 code 1 deceased 3 people dead 0300 hrs preliminary reports fdny fire marshals on scene cause of fire still under investigation the whole home is illegally converted into illegal living spaces there was a split wall in the kitchen multiple extension cords no means of egress stairs and exits blocked why engine 275 didnt show up

Just asking cause I’m curious, is there something specific making Car 4C respond to both this and 2nd Alarm Box 6160? I just know ordinarily CWTCs might not respond on a any fire lower than a 3rd

They're allowed to respond to lower alarms at their discretion, seems to be fairly normal practice among the current group to respond to a heavily-involved second alarm / multiple injuries, etc

C23D and Citywide Tour Commander are supposed to respond on any report on numerous 10-45:s and 2 or more Code 1s. It’s a creditable news event.
