Why Marine 6 for a pond?

Probably had to do with the location and or information provided by the caller(s). The Long Island Sound inches almost right up to shore road and the parking lot on the South perimeter of the complex. Vague or non definitive info being reported ? Like has been said too many times - but absolutely great philosophy in public safety - better to start certain resources going and cancel them as more info becomes available. Just my guess.

Pd confirmed the floater pretty quickly, so more of a recovery not water rescue. lol.
