Thanks for the added info, Phish. Some really, really long runs for those companies. 168 from Rossville, 154 from Travis. Funny how 162 still gave the 10-75.

This showcases exactly why SI needs more fire protection. You have 2 other boxes out at the same time as this job, and the result is engine and truck companies coming in on the initial that would be on the 2nd alarm and greater normally.

Engine 164 and Ladder 84 are normally 4th due and FAST to this box - 1st due and 2nd due this time. Engine 168 and 154? Belong on the 2nd. 81 Truck from South Beach responding to Bay Terrace is just crazy, lucky this job came in before rush hour hit Hylan Blvd or else it would of been red lights the entire way down for them. The 42 Battalion was started out to respond, but ended up going 10-8.

Barbecue caught fire on side of the structure and extended into the basement. Also think TL85 was 10-84 at some point.

I have no doubt the additional coverage is needed on SI as does anyone who lives and works on the island however, until there is a major group of incidents happening at the same time nothing will be done.
