What is PE 716, MD 844 stand for and is there a difference between T and TK?

Maryland seems to be more special than Northern Virginia, so unit acronyms are a little different.

PE = Paramedic Engine, which means the Engine has at least 1 ALS provider on board.
MD = Medic, don't know why they don't do "M", but basically an ALS transport

So in PG County, the unit acronym for a Truck Company is "TK" whereas in Montgomery County they say "T". It's just a thing with me where I like to use whatever unit abbreviations the jurisdiction uses, I know it doesn't look the right way but it's just how I do it.

In Northern VA, specifically Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria, all frontline units have at least 1 Paramedic on board, so there is no need to designate units with a P.
