New London FD responded to a two family house fire at 10 Rosemary Street at approximately 4 AM. Fire was initially on the first floor but extended thru the walls to the second floor and an enclosed porch on the first floor. A second alarm was transmitted bringing additional units from Poquonnock Bridge, Waterford, and the Sub Base FD in Groton.
NLFD Response: E 2, E 1, L 2, Ambulance 200, Batt, Chief, E 3, L 3, Ambulance 100
One resident was injured and removed to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital; several other residents was displace by the fire. Fire Marshals with the assistance of State Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
