The multi-borough feed is fine. Brooklyn not coming in at all. SI coming in on The Bronx frequency.

16:10hrs. - Still Nothing on Brooklyn; Manh. on Citywide Low, but Clear. (Volume Up !)  :-\

It amazes me that there is a single person who voluntarily maintains all of these feeds. THANK YOU!

Here in Scranton, PA, there are 3 different feeds (via 3 different people) where you can listen to Scranton Fire/Lackawanna County Fire.

Is there no one in the greater NYC area that would be willing to put forth the effort into starting an additional FDNY feed/feeds?

I truly appreciate the current feeds and their 99% reliability, but it would be great to have a backup.

I am sure Lackawanna County Fire isn't as busy as NYC  ;D ( Got Family Out There)

This site owner, Lt Tommy B, has made a "HUGE INVESTMENT" in order to provide us those feeds. He does this all on his own. As I understand it, it requires a separate radio for each feed as well as some computer terminals. He has a metal shelf in a seperate building with about six levels of this equipment placed on it. I was so impressed that I took a picture of it. (I think it was posted somewhere on here by somebody for me).

In addition to this set up cost, he also must keep an alarm system on this building because of the total value involved.

Besides being a firefighter in the FDNY, he is also busy raising a family. There's only so many hours in a day to accomplish everything.

My guess is also that because of the changeover to the new PSAP and the change to the new radio frequencies, that would also have some impact on this.

Like so many others here, I am beyond the reach of radio waves coming out of the FDNY Dispatchers voice. But with these feeds, I have been able to hear these signals no matter where I am, either on my computer or cell phone. (I think the cell phone app cost me a one time fee of $2.00).

I remember the great days of hearing the FDNY about 50 miles away, using just a small rubber antenna on a portable scanner. Today, I guess the power has been cut down and that is impossible to do. But in exchange for that, site owner Tommy B has given us these feeds for EVERYBODY to enjoy no matter how far away we are.

Whatever the temporary problem is, I know Lt Bendick, and I have total confidence in him, that whenever possible, he won't let us down.

ANYBODY - who provides any of these feeds throughout the country certainly deserves much thanks. From what I see, there's a whole lot of work and investment in order to do this.

Bill.. I agree 100 percent with your assessment, Lt. TB does a great job in providing RadioReference.com with the feeds so that others can enjoy listening  to the FDNY frequencies
