Fire on 2-floors of a vacant PD


-B37 request an Extra Truck for window bars (L108)

-B37 Second Alarm for fire on the 1&2 floors of a 2-story frame PD. Exposures (1-front yard, 2-parking lot, 3-unknown, 4-no exposure problem). Unknown address (originally 141 Troutman) 14:10

-D11 10-84 14:18

-B37 primaries throughout are negative, checking for extension. Resident is giving us the address of 129 Troutman St 14:21

-FC D11 reports had fire in a 2-story frame 20x40. All visible fire has been KD, we have 3LSO, trucks continue to open up and fire is Doubtful 14:31 34 mins

-FC 10-2 the Satellite 14:38

-FC D11 reports primary searches are complete and negative, secondary searcehs are complete and negative on the 2-floor. Fire remains Doubtful 14:40 43 mins

-FC D11 places the fire Probably Will Hold. Notify the gas and electric companies to respond, we cannot shut the utilities off K 14:43 45 mins

-RB 10-8, switching to CW 14:47

-FC D11 reports secondaries throughout are complete and negative, we're going to stay Probably Will Hold 14:47 50 mins

-R2 10-8 14:57

-TSU1 10-8 on CW (-BK to TSU1 and R2 switch to MN, East River and E25 St for person in the water) 14:59

-FC D11 reports fire is Under Control 15:03 1 hour 6 mins

Back when 108 was on Siegel St we were 1st Due at 727....one day we responded & found our Officer's (who was working) Father on his kitchen floor suffering a heart attack we performed CPR but he did not survive.

This used to be a third due station for Engine 217 or Engine 217-2, depending on who was in the front for the day.

217 is assigned 3rd due to Box 727
