Crane dropped a load from the 28th floor of a 30 story 200x100 high rise.
1046 - E-65 - We had a crane fall from a building, confirmed structural damage. Debris in the street.
1047 - Bn. 8 - Go with the 10-75.
L-2 FAST
1049 - Bn. 8 - All hands - We have a water main break, notify the utility.
1057 - Bn. 8 - We had a crane set up in the street, lifting a load to the 30th floor of a 30 story high rise. At the 28th floor, the cable snapped and the load fell to the ground. The load landed on a 1 story setback and there it a lot of debris in the roadway. There are 2 injuries.
1059 - Car 4H - Reccomended a 10-60.
1100 - Bn. 8 - Go with the 10-60.
1110 - Div. 3 - We have 7 injuries. We are conducting searches in the drop building and building across the street. There are 2 setbacks on this building. We have debris on floors 10, 9, 8, & 5.
1113 - Div. 3 - Assign a Battalion to staging (East 40 & Madison). Have all units keep 38 Street open from 5th Ave to Madison Ave for EMS transport units.
1117 - Div. 3 - 2 victims being transported by EMS. The other 5 are awaiting transport and are at the Duane Reade across the street. Duration 34 minutes.
1127 - FC - Special call 4 additional Battalions (B-4, B-10, B-1, B-31) and SOC Dewatering unit.
1137 - FC - Special call 4 Trucks, 1 to the command post and 3 to staging (L-4, TL-12, L-3, L-16).
1142 - FC - Special call a SOC Ladder to assist Rescue 4 at East 37 and Madison (TL-1).
1153 - FC - Special call a Rescue Collapse to staging (L-116 w/ RC 4).
1157 - FC - We had a crane drop a chiller that was being lifted to the roof. Primaries are negative on the 15th and 30th floors. Primaries underway throughout. A SAC Command Post is being set up. We have (2) 10-37 code 4's and (2) 10-37 code 3's. Duration 1 hour 15 minutes.
1208 - FC - Confirmed 4 civilian injuries.
1210 - FC - Special call 4 Ladders and Mobile Command. 2 Ladders to command post (TL-9 & H&L-20) and 2 Ladders to staging (TL-35 & H&L-5)
