Congrats to the 7 EMS Captains, 28 Fire Captains and 41 Fire Lieutenants being promoted today, Friday 5/8. Ceremony was held outdoors at the Fire academy on Randall's Island without friends or family in attendance. Social distancing was practiced.

Thank you "STATENISLAND" and "mikeindabronx" for telling us about this "Promotion at the Rock" ceremony.

And of course "CONGRADULATIONS" to those who worked very hard to get these promotions. Your families and friends couldn't be there but I'm sure they are all very proud of your accomplishments.

Interesting to see that so many FFs from truck companies were promoted to lieutenant's compared to how many from Indian companies were promoted. Is there any reason for this or is it just how things shook out this time?
