very detailed, I like how you separated the 10-77 units. I do have a question on why the bat chief ask for an extra engine and truck, is there a reason for not just going with a second alarm? Also the div chief said to cancel all special units, what units is he referring to. thanks

Speaking as an observer, it appears that an extra Engine and Truck are requested when an All Hands assignment might not be enough.  This gives the chief some time to further assess the situation, while at the same time, bringing some additional resources to the scene.  This is a very common practice for FDNY and does not usually lead to a higher alarm.  Additionally, if a 2nd Alarm is needed (such as this fire), the 1st Engine and Truck on the 2nd are well on their way.  The Extra 1x1 seem to be a very useful tool used by FDNY without bringing in all that comes along with a full 2nd Alarm.

The Special Units that were returned included just about all companies on the rundown from the Rescue Battalion to E-39 & High Rise 2 (although some companies were already on location).
