Stuck hoist-way cart on the 17th floor of a 1 story 200x100 commercial building under construction.
1213 - Manhattan - Major technical response for reports of a crane hanging.
1223 - Bn. 9 - All Hands - No additional units. We have a hoist-way cart stuck on the 17th floor. There is no one in the cart. Rescue 1 is on their way up.
1225 - Bn. 9 - The crane is not involved. Just the hoist-way cart. You can return special units not on scene. Command post at 7th Avenue and West 58 Street.
1238 - Div. 3 - Have Squad 18 return to this box.
1243 - Div. 3 - We have established a safety zone around the building. Rescue and Rescue Battalion are securing the car. We have designated Ladder 35 as the FAST Truck. Requesting OEM to the scene.
1305 - Div. 3 - All exposures have been checked. All searches are complete and negative. The cart is secured to the 17th floor. We are working on securing it to the 16th floor. DWH
1321 - Div. 3 - We have extended the safety zone to include all of West 57 between 7th and 8th.
1350 - Div. 3 - When securing the elevator, we have discovered a secondary problem. We are working on that problem at this time. Still maintaining the safety zone. DWH - Duration 1 hour 46 minutes.
