This box is far from any firehouse in the area. It's definitely a nice run for 167/87, 165/85 and especially the 23. This area can use more fire coverage, even though it's a longshot. 165/85 are 3.1 miles from this box at around a 10 minute drive, and with traffic going up Snake Hill it probably takes longer.

Picture of Staten Island Fire Companies and the location of the fire. If you can see it, the little hand for the mouse is the location of the fire.

Fire location is in the middle of these companies. The black mark to the left of the mouse hand is E154, the yellow mark north is E166/T086, the yellow mark to the south is E167/T087 and the yellow mark to the lower east kinda in the corner is E165/T085. Also notice how all 3 trucks on this box are all tower ladders.

This has always been a long response area for SI units to get to.  Always took 23 Bn or 22 Bn long time to respond in.  5 mile runs, traffic, or cut across LaTourette which is slow.

This area could use a new firehouse.  Would be good location for 4th SI battalion and/or squad.
