Do they still keep a couple on da rig?
As you know the sides of the project walkways used to be the easy supply for blocked incinerator shaft Fires but cobblestones have become such a hot commodity they have mostly disappeared from public spaces as well as along most highways in NYC.....not sure of the going price for a used one on the street today but certainly more than the black market price of a buck a piece for an original used one in the '70s.....here is a commercial offering of newly cut ones w/out the antique tar edged look..  http://earthmaterials.com/1_cobblestone.htm
