12:12 hours
E309: Contact E321, have them respond into the riding academy to get to the fire.
12:12 hours
E309: It is east of the riding academy. We passed the riding academy on the highway, we're unable to reach the car fire. It's on the beach.
E283 advised to to Flatbush Ave, turn around, and respond to the academy.
12:14 hours
NYPD Aviation: Be advised we're over that car fire. Somebody with a backhoe is trying to put it out with dirt. We have it in our sight with your unit, if they want to follow us in it will take them right in. He should be able to get pass from the riding academy to our location, it's right on the shoreline. There is a pass just west where it is that goes to one of the aviation landing pads. It's wide, I don't know if they can get a truck through, but it's solid.
E321: We're trying to get through a gate at the riding academy and get directions in there
NYPD Aviation: It's solid about halfway but then it turns into dirt. It's very close to the water, it's about halfway. The backhoe was trying to put it out with sand, it's stopped now, it's still on fire.
Marine 3: We'll be 10-84 in about 2 minutes, we're in contact with Sea Tow, we should be able to hit it from the shore.
NYPD: Advise Marine 3 there is a boat docked right there so they should have no problem reaching it.
Marines 8, 9 S/C
12:17 hours
Battalion 58: We're in contact with E309 and 321 on the handy-talkie, we're going to have units head in there on foot to tackle it. Have everyone else continue in.
E309: E309 will be operating with E321, we're going in on foot.
12:18 hours
Marine 3: 10-84, we'll be able to hit this from the shoreline. We're going to start up the pumps, if E309 wants to bring in 3 lengths of hose to the shore, they'll be able to hook up to the vessel.
12:19 hours
BC58: Ascertain from E321 and 309 if we have water on the fire and what are the conditions, k.
12:35 hours
Marine 3: Relaying a message from Battalion 58, he's releasing all units except E309, E321, L169, the vehicles is almost extinguished, just putting it out with cans.
12:49 hours
Marine 3 is up but will be unavailable, returning to the Brooklyn Navy Yard for mechanical issues.
12:49 hours
BC58: 8628 we're going to makes this a 10-41 code 3 (suspicious fire, vacant auto), k.
