Water main break with gas readings in the area.
*Engine 74 initially sent for an open hydrant.
2115 - Bn. 11 - We have a major water main break on Amsterdam Avenue between West 89 & 90 Streets. Give me a 3x2 response. Put a rush on DEP. We have a sinkhole opening up.
2123 - Bn. 11 - We have reports of a gas odor in the streets from civilians. Setting up a command post at West 89 & Amsterdam.
2128 - Bn. 11 - Can we get Con-Ed gas and electric. We have water getting into the service at 189 West 89 Street. Please transmit the 10-75 and give me an extra truck.
2147 - Div. 3 - All Hands - Units checking surrounding properties.
2151 - Div. 3 - Requesting the Rescue Battalion and a Dewatering unit.
2214 - Div. 3 - Continuing to monitor all properties and awaiting the water to be shut off. Requesting 2 additional trucks (TL-22, L-26).
2249 - Div. 3 - PWH Releasing the Squad and Rescue. Send us an additional Truck to relieve the FAST Truck (L-4).
2258 - Div. 3 - We are going to go Under Control. There will be an ongoing dewatering operation. Duration 1 hour 40 minutes.
0911 - Div. 3 - All FD units taking up. Duration 11 hours 53 minutes.
