CIDS for Penn Station:
Respond to Taxi Ramp on West 31 st between 7th and 8th Aves. First due truck to pick up dedicated repeater radio at the command post and establish FD Channel 1 handy-talkie relay.
Battalion 9 is the FD liaison to the PSCC. They are to make contact with the Penn Station Supervisor, not the power director, and make immediate contact with the Command Post via the red phone.

Now receiving info that this was a NJ Transit train that was leaving the station and is just past the station prior to enterring the tunnels.

E54, L4, Battalion 6 assigned to staging at Amtrak West River Tunnel @ 33 st and 10 Ave)

Penn Station Control Center reports the incident is viewable from Track 12, for NJ Transit train NJ3823, last car of the outbound train with no reported injuries.

Battalion 7: Box 8171 at this time NJ Transit is backing a train in, lining it up next to the affected train to unload passengers off the original train, they asked us to standby at this time.

BC7: 8171, At this time there is no need for the Rescue Battalion

Division 1: At this time the progress report is that NJ Transit wishes the FDNY just to standby, they are pulling up a rescue train, they are attempting to line up the doors of the rescue train and the derailed train and remove approximately 300 passengers off the derailed train onto the rescue train and we will get back to you with further particulars.

DC1: Box 8171 at this time we're still awaiting the Rescue train to offload the passengers, also waiting to hear from NJ Transit about the assessment of the problem, we have members down there standing fast.

DC1: Just an update on the progress, the rescue train is in postion and NJ Transit is going to stop transporting the occupants of the disabled train into the rescue train. We will update when all occupantes are accounted for and in the rescue train.

DC1: Progress report at this time is that the transfer of all passengers from the derailed train to the rescue train is complete, we will be taking up momentarily. We'll go with a 10-28 code 3 (non-medical rail emergency).
