Heavy fire in a 50x50 Church


-B22 Second Alarm

-D8 have the Satellite go to Delafield and Elizabeth to set up a manifold to possibly supply two tower ladders 02:29

-EMS CW1 dispatcher to all units on scene, evacuate the area 02:31

-D8 transmit a Third Alarm, we are going to exterior operations. Exposure 1 is going to be considered Elizabeth Street 02:31

-SI...Staging Area is Clove Rd and Delafield Ave 02:34

-D8 have L87 set up at Delafield and Elizabeth 02:35

-B22 is 86 responding? (SI to B22 10-4). Have 86 come up Elizabeth from Castleton 02:36

-Car 4A responding 02:37 29 mins

-D8 at the Third Alarm, we have a fully involved church fire, partial collapse has occurred and we have set up a collapse perimeter. We conducted a roll call and everyone is accounted for. We're in the process of setting up Tower Ladders 02:42

-SI to D8...PD aviation is not flying today 02:44

-SI to D8...Rose St and Cary Ave reports of heavy smoke and embers on houses 02:46

-Car 4A? get an engine out in the area for Brand Patrol (E167) 02:47

-D8 have an incoming Engine (E164) take the hydrant on Forest Ave and Elizabeth and bring a line down to Elizabeth and Delafield 02:52

-Car 23D and Car 17 and Car 36A responding into the Third Alarm 02:54

-Car 1G responding 02:56

-D8 we have 1 TL in operation, the other 2 are in the process of being set-up. We're operating 4 handlines into the church from a distance and a protection line on Exposure-4, a PD, for embers blowing over the roof 02:57 48 mins

-D8 fire is darkening down, still Doubtful 03:04 55 mins

-Car 17 10-84 03:07

-D8 have DEP respond to the Command Post on Elizabeth St, we're having trouble with water pressure 03:09 1 hour

-FC the fire is darkening down, still hitting pockets of fire. We have an engine company patrolling the area for embers 03:20 1 hour 12 mins

-SI to FC...we sent you the CIDS 03:22

-FC S/C an additional Satellite (E284/SAT3) and have them respond down Clove Rd and pick up a main and stretch it down Delafield 03:24

-Car 23D 10-84? 03:24

-Medical Branch 0518 on EMS CW1...fire operations continue, risk to public safety personnel remains high, patient count remains at 0. I'm releasing 21W back into the 911 System 03:32

-FC as per Car 4A...he had a fire in a 2-story Class-3 church. ATT, he has 4 TLs set up and in operation, 5 Handlines in operation from the exterior, and 2 multiversals set up and operating. The main body of fire has been KD. Transmit a 10-41c1 due to the large volume of fire on arrival 03:40 1 hour 31 mins

-E284/SAT3 10-84 at the location 03:43

-FC have National Grid respond to the Command Post 03:44

-RB is 10-8 switching over to Citywide 03:44

-Sq1 10-8 returning to Brooklyn frequency 03:45

-on OEM radio...chief requested DOB but FD is still actively fighting the fire and DOB won't respond until it is placed Under Control 03:53

-Car 11A on your frequency responding 03:58

-ORM radio 607 to Watch Command...the building is not being used as a church, it has a perimeter fence around it and FD says it was vacant 03:59

-FC as per Car 4A AC Daley...4 TLs, 5 hand lines, and 2 multiversals. Main body of fire is KD and placing this fire Probably Will Hold 04:03 1 hour 55 mins

-MB0518 on EMS CW1...potential threat to public safety personnel remains high, currently treating 1 green tag firefighter in the MERV 04:05 1 hour 46 mins

What a week day night for the FDNY, Just like the Sixties and  seventies all over again. My hat is off to the new generation for one heck of a job well done.

The Broad Street Bullies TL77 should respond after 78 Truck, way before 85 & 87. Quite a ride for 85 and 87 actually, now dipping into the south shore for companies. I did however see a pic of 77 with the bucket up so they were 10-84.

TL76 was also S/C sometime over the day to set up the bucket.

17 jobs between the days of 9/29-9/30 in the 5 boroughs. 4 multiple alarms are included in the 17.
