I noticed Marine 1 is still using the McKean; any word on when the 343 will be in service?  9/11 is rapidly approaching.

I was told by a member of Marine 6, that they hope to put "343" in service on 9/11/2010

343 in service  Such a proper response on such a horrible day. My wife has a "343" decal on her car to show respect to those who paid the ultimate price. The unfortunate thing is that her birthday is 9-10. She undertands what that date means to all of the brothers/sisters of FDNY  :'( :(
