On this date in 1930, 95 years ago, Engine Company 319 was placed into service at 0900 hrs. This is a special day for me since l buffed at 319 for 60 years. I have seen many guys walk thru the front door both in and out. 319 will always have a special place in my heart and consider it to be my only home.
To all the new bosses and Probies stay safe and remember it's the best job in the world working for the. FDNY.

I was invited to Engine Co. 319s dinner dance at VETROS ON X- Bay Blvd back in May and flew back to New York just to attend this function since I haven't missed a 319 dinner dance since the late 1960s and there was no way l would miss this one......

I was presented with a 60 year plaque which l will always cherish. I will ask Brad to post it for me. Thank you all and stay safe

FYI.....If there are any members that l was good friends with on the ny fire buffs site you will only be able to contact me in this excellent fire buffs group. After being on that group as a administrator since formed it was time to move on due to allot of children nonsence and a Brooklyn Disp also removed as a admin. I wish that group all the best.
