Brings to mind the new fireboat the "BMCM Carl M Brashear" that the Newport News FD got in March 2007. It sank at its berth in the Leeward Marina before it was accepted by the city. The city got the boat back (with new engines ) in Oct 2007. The factory never found why it sank only that 2 out of 3 bilge pumps were off .

It'll be interesting to hear the "story". Seems that in years past somebody could get bumped off for a day or two after taking off a rear view mirror while backing into quarters.

For new boat just sitting there just one bilge pump should be more than sufficient! Seems like something else had to be the overall cause of the problem.
