Incident Location: 70 Milburn Avenue

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, the Baldwin Fire Department was called to an automatic alarm at the Coral House on Milburn Avenue off Merrick Road. When firefighters arrived on scene at the venue they were met with smoke showing and upon further investigation they found fire on the second floor in an area used for prep and storage. A signal ten [working fire] was transmitted and mutual aid requested. The fire was partially extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system; however, firefighters still went on to stretch two hand lines and put at least one of those hand lines into operation. The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation. All fire department units were under the command of Baldwin First Assistant Chief Eberhart [2051]. (Text Credit K2M).
