On the morning of Fri., Nov. 10th, the Baldwin Fire Dept. was dispatched to a report of a house fire on Bertha Dr. Dispatch advised units that multiple calls were being received reporting the fire and when firefighters arrived on scene, they were met with smoke showing from a two-story private dwelling. Moments later a working fire was transmitted, and mutual aid requested for fire on the first floor of the home. Baldwin Engine 202 and Ladder 206 were the first engine and truck cos. to arrive on scene. Firefighters stretched two hand lines, put at least one hand line into operation, and were able to keep the fire to the floor of origin. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation and all fire dept. units were under the command of Baldwin Chief of Dept. Dworsak [205]. Text courtesy K2M Photography.
