On the night of Sunday, August 27th, 2023, the Bethpage Fire Department along with mutual aid companies operated on the scene of a house fire on Stymus Avenue off Plainview. Firefighters put three hand lines into operation for a fire in the basement of a one-story private dwelling. All occupants made it safely out of the residence and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Bethpage Chief of Department John Castles [Car 1] had command of the incident.
