Blitz Nozzles

The Fireboat Monitor Johnny shows in his entry above is, I think a MacEntire Monitor. Originally this one or similar one was mounted on the cab of the Tender of the Mack Super Pumper. Later the Tender of the Super Pumper cab had the Macintyre monitor removed and replaced with a very large Stang "Inteligiant' monitor, that produced less nozzle reaction. I always heard the story that the monitor removed from the S.P. Tender cab was then placed on the Bow of the Fireboat Firefighter 1 = Marine Co. 9. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired
