Description Of Incident: Battalion 2 o/s reporting fire on the exterior, rear, "C" side of a 3-story 30'x40' wood-frame M/D. Companies forcing entry. 2 L/S/O's w/Ladder Companies opening up. All hands working. Originally reported as a structure fire by CT State Police Troop G. All searches negative w/no injuries reported.

Reported as near the State Police Troop G? Thats almost like saying the moon is close to the earth.

Yeah, right. Should of rephrased that. I believe the State Police called Fire Dispatch and reported it. Some callers  or a trooper probably notified them of the fire, and they passed along the info to the PD. Or maybe someone saw the smoke from I-95 and called the State Police.
