bronx all hands going to work box 4061 throggs neck blvd and hollywood ave
the 20 has fire on the 2nd flr of a 2 1/2 stry  40x40 private dwelling
2 l/s/o trucks are opening up fire is doubtful
....around 00:30 hrs

My Aunt use to live nearby in Locust Point and I remember when E89 and L50 were first due!

G-man,

That card is just about the time 96 gave up the quad. Can you make out who the truck was on the 2d alarm? If it was before, it should be  96.

By the date on this card was probably issued when 96 gave it up and other trucks took over their quad boxes.

Original 2nd alarm truck was 41. Most of the changes were from the addition of L54 then when E72 was added which created a need for E89 to be covered by E79 and E64's former relocator (E83) replaced E35 as E73's relocator.

THAT WAS PROBABLY GOU 12, ONE OF THE GAS AND OIL UNITS FOR THE APPARATUS.

Wrong here. 96 did not give up the quad till 1957. Means that they did not employ them as a ladder truck on a multiple aalrm.

Yes, I believe they only responded as a ladder on the 1st alarm like on these two boxes:
