At around 11:30pm Wednesday Evening, Charlotte Fire Department was called to a report of a fire at Extra Space Storage on South Tryon St.

11:40 PM-Firefighters on scene report smoke coming from the building
11:53 PM-Second alarm requested
12:07 AM-Firefighters advise there is fire through the vent hole
12:19 AM-Third alarm requested
12:25 AM-Firefighters advise fire is spreading. Firefighters are exiting the building.
12:32 AM-Firefighters have re-entered the building.
12:36 AM-Firefighters have exited the building once again. They will try to douse the flames from the roof.
12:49 AM-All firefighters are accounted for.
1:45 AM-Fourth alarm requested
2:04 AM-Firefighters advise there is fire at the front door.
2:28 AM-Firefighters are trying to re-enter the building.
2:30 AM-There is still active fire in the hallway.
3:00 AM-Fifth alarm requested
3:07 AM-All firefighters requested to exit the building
