Residential Structure Fire - Working Incident
2400 Block Herring Ditch Road
Units: B1, E15, E13, E8 E28, L2, RES15, M15
Added: E2, E9
Ops on Tac 2
Engine 15 on scene and reporting smoke and flames to the rear, attempting to gain access. No close hydrants to the incident.
0455: Battalion 2 requesting two extra engines for water supply. Engine 2 and 9 have been dispatched.
0457: Units staging due to long, narrow road and long driveway. Battalion 2 is search for turn around spots.
0458: Engine 15 requesting to stand by on water supply, will try with tank water first. Water on fire at this time.
0459: Engine 15 reporting knock down and advising heavy overhaul will be needed.
0502: Engine 13 now heading to the fire from staging, will require backing into the drive way to set up for shuttle ops. Engine 8 will be next down the street when Engine 13 is in place.
Battalion 1 is IC
0504: Engine 15 reporting fire control, primary search clear and several propane tanks near the fire building. Have two lines deployed, flowing only one.
0507: Engine 8 now on the fireground, Rescue 15 assigned to water supply ops.
0512: All apparatus are now on Herring Ditch Road.
0516: Mechanic requested, Engine 13 is stuck in the driveway and might need to be pulled out.
0522: Command requesting on call marshal to respond.
